
A book musical with a cast of four, featuring contemporary music scored for two musicians; piano and acoustic guitar. It takes place over two winter days in the present on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
Ada is a well-to-do, elderly and lonely widow. Brenda is her home-care attendant and the mother of Ethan, an aspiring musician who works in a coffee shop. Callie is Ada's great niece who was given up for adoption at birth.
Ada has no known family and is very fond of Brenda, whom she has decided to name beneficiary of her will. When a previously unknown relative, Callie, shows up out of nowhere, Brenda is threatened. She tries to keep them apart by drugging Ada.
